雅思写作的四大评分标准之一就是Grammatical Range and Accuracy，其中评分点之一就是使用多种复杂结构。但目前大多数学生很难将简单句和复杂句进行灵活的变通，今天我们就来分析下将简单句变身成复杂句的几种办法。
种思路就是使用三种句型增加句子变化：并列句，状语从句和定语从句
并列句 and /or:
In the first step, limestone and clay are crushed in a crusher to create a powder.
The powder is then mixed by a mixer.
通过连词and可以轻松将这连个简单句变成并列句，更加地道和连贯。如下：
In the first step, limestone and clay are crushed in a crusher to create a powder, and then the powder is mixed by a mixer.
状语从句after，before，until， once
例如：Next, the mixture is heated by a rotating heater.
After that, the mixture is sent to a conveyor belt.
使用连词After之后，两个简单句合并成一个高级的时间状语从句。
After the mixture is heated by a rotating heater, it is sent to a conveyor belt.
定语从句
The consumption of chicken showed an upward trend. The consumption of chicken overtakes that of lamb in 1980 and that of beef in 1989. 两个句子中的主语都是the consumption of chicken，其实完全可以通过一个非限制性的定语从句，降低句子的重复性，用一个which替代第二个the consumption of chicken。句意不变，但是表达却更地道也提升了高级感。
The consumption of chicken showed an upward trend, which overtakes that of lamb in 1980 and that of beef in 1989.
第二种思路，如果全篇文章中定语从句，那么定语从句即使再高级，也会因烂大街显得没那么珍贵了。这时，可以将定语从句转换成非谓语结构。
还是上面句子，主句中the consumption of chicken与overtake（超过）之间是主动关系，所以定语从句可以用现在分词表示。
The consumption of chicken, on the other hand, showed an upward trend, overtaking that of lamb in 1980 and that of beef in 1989.
出了使用以上提到的各种句型结构，再给大家提供一个句型作为参考，with引导的独立主格结构。
The impact of this on North America was minimal. Only 0.2% of land is affected.
这两句话可以通过with引导的独立主格结构表示来结果，可以在阅卷官面前浅浅炫技。Land 与 affect之间是被动关系，所以可以去掉be动词，最终变成一下句型：
The impact of this on North America was minimal, with only 0.2% of land affected.
再比如以下两个简单句
Advertising in cinemas and outdoors incurred the lowest costs. Less than $10 million has been spent by each company.
用with引导的独立主格结构表示结构：
Advertising in cinemas and outdoors incurred the lowest costs, with less than $10 million spent by each company.
同样，如果结果句中的主语和动词之间是主动的关系，则变成ing分词。
考虑到句式多样性，建议大家有意识地将文章的句子在从句，非谓语结构，并列句等句型中进行合理且平衡的分配。日常养成这种练习和分配的习惯，等考试时就能融会贯通，不慌了
